The reflection I have on this genocide is deeply touching. It feels personal to me as these are my fellow people. The many innocent people who died have the same views as me and that’s something I will never forget. The amount of people who died compared to the number of people who know about this tragedy is not enough. The number of deaths, 1.7 million innocent people died. This number I cannot comprehend; and only today are these 5 leaders of the Khmer Rouge are getting prosecuted now. The one thing that angers me most is that their notorious leader, Pol Pot dies in 1998. He didnt even get sentenced to any of the crimes of hummanity that he commited. After he commited this genocide he fled the country and only his fellow partners who took part in the killings were charged. But still today, many of them still are on trial with no final sentence to the crimes they did. Now I wante him to be beaten, tortured and starved like he did to all 1.7-2.5 millon innocent people.
